Job Summary: This position focuses on the development, support and improvement of the manufacturing processes for the products that we manufacture.

Duties include:

• Creation and documentation of manufacturing plans for the manufacture of parts through machining, special processing, assembly and inspection operations
• Product configuration management and configuration change management
• Design of work holding and custom gaging
• Identify opportunities to reduce cost, improve manufacturability and decrease scrap
• Non-Conformance investigation including root cause and corrective actions, assessment of further process improvement.
• Routine communication with customers and suppliers to support the manufacture of product

Requirements:

• 3 years minimum experience in manufacturing or related field
• Competent in core manufacturing processes: turning, milling and grinding. Gear shaping and hobbing knowledge is beneficial
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage change
• Ability to work in a team atmosphere
• Basic understanding of special processes: heat treating, plating, non-destructive testing
• Able to interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Proficiency in 2D CAD and solid modeling
  • AutoCad and SolidWorks preferred
